Star Wars Jedi Knights II Jedi Outcast is a great game and should be played. It fills the Star Wars fiction very well with a variety of locations to explore. The combat mechanism is solid and has that Star Wars vibe to it. All the sound effects are spot on remenicant of the Star Wars movies. The game is decently long and worth the value.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast was developed by Raven Software for the PC and Mac, and Vicarious Visions for the Xbox and GameCube. LucasArts published the PC version worldwide and the Xbox and GameCube versions in North America, Activision published the Xbox and GameCube versions in Europe, and Aspyr published the Mac version worldwide.

A bit of blathering introduction is in order. Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II is one of my all-time favorite games, if you can trust the Top 10 list I contributed to GameCola’s Issue 1-1 Tribute oh so long ago. I love the first-person carnage with Imperial Repeaters and Concussion Rifles; I love the third-person carnage with lightsabers and customizable Force powers.

In Jedi Outcast, you once again play Kyle Katarn, star of LucasArts' Star Wars-inspired 1st-person shooters Star Wars: Dark Forces and Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II. Kyle has retired from being a Jedi fearing consequences from the Dark Side of the Power found within himself during his chase of the foul Sith-Lord Jerec into the lost vale of the Jedi at the end of Dark Forces 2.
